Antenna Description

High Precision and Compact Marine Satellite Antenna Ideal For Accurate Positioning

This external active GNSS antenna offers the best overall performance and it is ideal for high-performance marine applications that require improved multipath rejection and signal filtering. This antenna is built to take advantage of the GLONASS constellation of satellites as well as standard GPS. With both these systems, it guarantees improved navigation accuracy and fast positioning in transportation, defense, marine, and navigation, and other applications where precision matters. This antenna provides much higher location accuracy and is extremely reliable when it comes to reception and transmission crossing multiple networks. This is an ideal antenna for next-generation GNSS marine devices that require superior sensitivity across wide-band operations in a small form factor.

Suggested applications include:

  • Marine
  • Military Vehicle Tracking & Asset Tracking
  • Boats, Leasure
  • Remote Technology Monitoring
  • Geo-Fencing
  • Navigation
  • Surveying and Mapping Systems

This antenna is ideal for high-accuracy applications. It provides a truly circular response over its entire bandwidth, producing excellent multi-path and out-of-band signal rejection. Additionally, enhanced performance is achieved with integrated low-loss pre-filters. This front-end SAW filter attenuates any nearby out-of-band wireless transmissions, so the GPS/Galileo LNA is not driven into compression or damage. The excellent axial ratio across the entire band indicates good right-hand circular polarization, which increases location accuracy and speed of lock for GNSS applications. This antenna caters to GPS/QZSS/Galileo/GLONASS networks in the frequency ranges 1575.42, 1598-1610 MHz. Another key benefit of this antenna is the outstanding 24 dB high GNSS active gain and the GNSS voltage range of 2.7 to 5.5 V for enhanced safety.

Installation / Environmental

The 2J9101JBWGF is housed in an industrial-grade waterproof enclosure, available in white radome color. Waterproof solutions with IP67 rating and PC/ABS UV stable coating provide extended durability in outdoor conditions protecting the antenna from temperatures between -40C and +85C. This antenna comes in different mounting options of adhesive, screw or pole mount making it a perfect fit for any installation need. It can also be custom configured with a variety of cables and connectors suitable for any application. The standard cable is 300 cm of RG58W and it comes with an SMA-Male standard connector. Cable length and connector type are fully customizable. This antenna is ground plane independent making it suitable for installation anywhere on any surface. It comes with an adhesive sticker and does not require any metallic surface for its installation.
