Antenna Description

Most powerful 3-in1 Antenna Solution with Reliability, Quality and Safety as a Priority

Our 3-in-1 combination antenna (2J8408BGF) is ideal for transportation, public safety and mission critical applications that rely on high performance, accuracy, and uninterrupted connection. This solution is designed with a compact form factor and with anti-rotation screw mount that allows for permanent installations in the most extreme weather conditions.

Suggested applications include:

  • Mission Critical Communications
  • Public Safety
  • Commercial Transportation
  • RV and Motorhomes
  • Telematics
  • Cellular / Mobile Device Connectivity

Connection 1: Cellular

This connection is dedicated to 3G and 2G standards for cellular devices that operate within 824-960 MHz and 1710-2170 MHz frequencies. The cellular connection has peak gains / efficiency of ~-13.6 dBi / ~1.2% for 2G band and ~-1.5 dBi / ~14% for 3G band.

Connection 2: TETRA/UHF

Connection 2 is designed to operate with TETRA/UHF standards ideal for mission critical systems and is a top choice for many applications due to its proven reliability for digital radio communications within 380-470 MHz frequencies. This high-performance antenna has a peak gain of ~2.0 dBi while maintaining ~53% efficiency and a VSWR ~1.3:1.

Connection 3: GNSS

The third connection is designed for the GPS, QZSS, Galileo and GLONASS standards and to operate with navigational precision within 1575.42 MHz and 1598-1610 MHz frequencies. This antenna has a saw -prefilter that assures continuous signal on all planes with an active gain of 23 @ 3 V and 24 @ 5 V.

Installation / Environmental

The 2J8408BGF only measures 99 x 60 x 154 mm and is designed with ASA antenna housing, Zamak antenna base and TPE gasket for durability and protection in wet environments. This antenna can be installed with the secure screw mount that comes with an anti-rotation mechanism preventing any compromise to antenna position. As with all ground plane dependent antennas, the 2J8408BGF needs to be installed on metal surfaces with the minimum requirement of free space.

Tuned for optimal performance, the GNSS, Cellular and Tetra connections come with 300 cm long RG174 cables and SMA-Male connectors that feed through the anti-rotation screw mount located at the bottom of the antenna. 2J Antennas offers a wide range of alternative connectors and cables to meet any customization needs. Please contact our highly skilled engineers for assistance in antenna selection or customization requirements.

Our products are designed and manufactured without hazardous materials while maintaining full REACH and RoHS compliance.
