Antenna Description

High-Performance, Connectivity, Precision, Reliability, and Usage Flexibility All In One Compact Antenna 

2J Antennas is adding their newest 4-in-1 Heavy Duty Cellular/LTE MIMO, 2.4/5.0 GHz ISM MIMO and GNSS Antenna (2J7050BGFc) to their “Medusa” series. This multi-function antenna is the ideal solution for applications that require high performance, connectivity, precision, reliability, and usage flexibility all in one compact antenna housing. Designed with a screw mount, this antenna is ideal for automotive, telematics, roof applications, or any other surface installations.  

Cables 1 & 2 are dedicated to Cellular/ LTE voice and data communication for devices operating within 4G LTE, 3G, and 2G standards. By adding dual cellular capabilities, the antenna can consistently search and pair the strongest signal to assure uninterrupted connectivity regardless of the location and angle. Backward compatibility with existing LTE cellular networks makes this antenna a cost-effective solution for existing and future LPWA, IoT, and MIMO applications. Efficiency on both cables ranges between ~47 to 62.6% with peak gains ranging between ~2.1 dBi to ~4.2 dBi across all designated bands. 

Cable 3 is reserved for 2.4/5.0 GHz ISM applications for low-power, wide-area devices that operate within Wi-Fi, BT, ZigBee, and ISM standards. The 2.4/5.0 GHz technology allows for signals to pick between long- and short-range availability providing uninterrupted connectivity while avoiding overcrowding. Peak gain is ~5.6 dBi with an efficiency of up to 64%.

Cable 4 is designed for GNSS navigation applications that require highly precise and stable positioning services for devices that operate within the GPS, QZSS, Galileo, and Glonass standards. Designed with a hemispherical radiation pattern, RHCP, and post-filter, this antenna offers an active gain of ~23 dB @3V / 24 @5V and ~32 dBc out of band rejection. This antenna is ideal for built-up areas where buildings may obscure the view of some GPS signals by locating fixed positions quickly and accurately.

Installation / Environmental

The antenna dome housing (Ø 96 × 90 mm) is manufactured with ASA material offering durability in heavy-duty applications and the first choice for rugged outdoor environments. Fully IP67, IP69 and IK09 certified makes this antenna waterproof and resistant to dust, high temperature, and impact. The antenna base is manufactured with aluminum alloy and comes with a screw mount with an anti-rotation mechanism.  2J7050BGFc is also available with magnetic, pole, and lightweight plastic screw mounting options. 

All 4 cables are equipped with a standard SMA-Male connector and 300 cm long LL195/LL100 high quality cables designed for low loss and high performance.
