The Best 4-in-1 Combination Antenna for Vehicle Applications on the Market

To expand our “Medusa” portfolio, 2J Antennas is adding the Magnetic Mount Cellular/LTE, WiFi 2.4/5.0 GHz ISM MIMO and GNSS Antenna (2J7050MGFb). This 4-in-1 antenna is the ideal solution for applications that require high performance, connectivity, precision, reliability, high data throughput and usage flexibility all in one antenna.

Cable 1 is dedicated to Cellular/ LTE high quality voice and data communication for mobile devices operating within 4G LTE, 3G and 2G standards. Backwards compatible with existing LTE cellular networks make this antenna a cost-effective solution for existing and future LPWA and IoT applications. Efficiency ranges between ~50.7 to 58.4% with peak gains between ~0.9 dBi to ~5.5 dBi across all designated 698 MHz to 2700 MHz frequency bands.

Cable 2 and 3 is a dual 2.4/5.0 GHz ISM connection for low-power, wide-area devices that operate within Wi-Fi, BT, ZigBee, and ISM standards. The dual 2.4/5.0 GHz allows for signals to pick between long- and short-range availability providing uninterrupted connectivity while avoiding overcrowding. Peak gain ranges are ~3.6/~4.3 dBi (efficiency ~40.1%/45.4%) for 2.4 GHz bands and ~5.2/~5.4 dBi (efficiency ~45.2%/~45.7%) for the 5.0 GHz bands across both cables.

Cable 4 is designed for GNSS navigation applications that require highly precise and stable positioning services for devices that operate within the GPS, QZSS, Galileo and Glonass standards. Designed with hemispherical radiation pattern, RHCP and saw filter, this antenna offers an active gain of 23 dB @ 3V and 24 dB @ 5V with an ~32 dBc out of band rejection. This antenna is ideal for built-up areas where buildings may obscure the view to some GPS signals by locating fixed positions quickly and accurately.

Installation / Environmental

The antenna is IP67, IP69 and IK09 certified and is fully waterproof and resistant to dust, high temperature and impact making it ideal for rugged outdoor applications. The dome housing (Ø 96 × 102 mm) is manufactured with ASA material and the base is manufactured with aluminum alloy with a powerful magnetic mount strong enough for long-term installations but can be conveniently moved for on-the-go applications.  A thin rubber pad is included to protect metal surfaces from scratches during installation or removal. 2J7050MGFb is also available with screw, pole and light weight plastic screw mounting options.

All 4 cables are equipped with standard SMA-Male connector and 300 cm long LL195/LL100 high quality cables.
